Jonah went on his first overnight field trip last week. He was gone for 3 days. I was a little nervous but everything went great. He returned safe and sound, despite the copperhead snake, ticks and other dangers he encountered along the way. He had a fabulous time working on the farm, playing in the creek and sleeping in a cabin with his classmates.
Violet started "preschool" last Friday. It is actually a developmental interventionist playgroup through First Steps. She goes every Friday for 2 hours. She did really well. Only a few silent tears when I told her goodbye. Today when I dropped her off I thought it would be worse because she knew I would be leaving. But she said, "No, no" a few times and then gave me a kiss and a hug and went off to play! Two hours of kidless freedom. Ahh. What do I do with myself? I'll tell you what. I went to the grocery alone! Doesn't sound like much, but it was heavenly!
Sadie has been sent home from school 3 times now in the last few months. Not really sure what's going on. Definitely middle-kid syndrome but I think there's more to it.
Only 2 weeks of school left. We plan to spend our summer days at the YMCA Water Park. And hopefully, we will get to go on vacation in August! If you have any ideas, send them my way.
